A painter, theatre and fabric designer, Alice Danziger was born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1914, and died in Sydney, Australia in 1992.
She came to Sydney in her youth where she studied art under Dattilo Rubbo. She also studied at The Slade School in London, and at the Salon des Tuileries in Paris 1935-38 where she also exhibited. From 1947 she lived abroad for extended periods, returning to Sydney in 1972
Her paintings are held in the collections of The Art Gallery of NSW in Sydney, The National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, and the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra
