Sean Crowley is an artist based in Gadigal/ Sydney. His work reflects on the spaces he inhabits, distorting his everyday life into something abstract and intuitive. In his bold and gestural compositions, liminal spaces – living rooms, kitchens, country roads – are transformed into something new, vibrant and acidic.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (2021) and Graduate Diploma (2022) from the National Art School, Sydney. He has previously studied (BDes.Arch USyd) and worked in architecture and urban design and completed the Intensive Drawing Program (2019) at the Royal Drawing School, London. Sean had his first solo show at Robin Gibson Galley in Sydney in April 2023. Recent group shows include Horray for Hollywood (Hotel Hollywood – 2023), Cut and Polish (Carraigeworks – 2023), Inside (Egg and Dart – 2023), Xmas (Egg and Dart – 2022), W-Square (Fringe Festival – 2022)
Sean has been a finalist in the Waverley Art Prize (2022) and the Mosman Art Prize (2022).
